GPV (Gravity Powered Vehicle)

<< Previous | Next >>

Where there was danger and bicycle wheels you'd find Vander - the Gravity Powered Vehicle mini-craze was no different.

BMX Action October 1987 Page 33 I went out with Dave a few times in the East Bay Hills in local neighborhoods. This stuff was nuts. Parked cars, oncoming cars, speed wobbles and hooking turns in a local neighborhood at about 40mph. We road tripped down to the GPV contest at Palm Springs and were in awe at the hill they had. Long stretch, no cars, and just a lot of gravity available to get going. Dave took a pretty gnarly bail and I heard he even tried to bunny hop someone who cut him off.
